Árnesingakórinn
í Reykjavík

The choir Árnesingakórinn í Reykjavík was established on the
February 14th, 1967. The choir has given
concerts in all the Scandinavian countries, Germany, Austria,
former Czechoslovakia, Italy, Latvia and last summer in
England.
Árnesingakórinn
í Reykjavík has released four albums; the last, Náttmál, was
released in the autumn of 1999.
The
first conducter was Ţuríđur Pálsdóttir. Sigurđur Bragason, baritone
and composer, was the conducter from 1988 until the spring of
2000. Autumn 2001 Gunnar Ben took over as the conducter.
